Baby sweater

Dear Husband baby sister is about to become a grandma for the first time. As part of the baby gift for  the little granddaughter that is due in June I made her a baby sweater. Thankfully I decided to make it 12-18 months size so it can be used come late August-start of Sept as it's a little thicker than most because of the design.

The pattern can be found online under two different days. On Yarnspirations.com its know as batons astra hooded cardigan and on allfreeknitting.com its know as Spring Morning Baby Cardigan.

To get the pink colour I wanted for the sweater I used bernat soft baby in petunia. The other colour is simply white in the same yarn.

The first picture is of the wrong side which looks just as pretty as the front if you ask me. The second picture is off the finished sweater.

Easter 2020

Easter cards:
cross stitch pattern from Lesly Teare called Spring cards
DMC floss 3765(blue), 552(purple), and 721(orange)

I had intended to use these bunny heads on a stick to make some
bunny candy holders but that would have required opening bags of candy
to put over into the containers. With the virus I figure it would be better not to
so they turned into bag toppers for a couple treats for the DGC and the
bags of M&M got a tag that reads-family treat

Baby hats for a family in need

Our church was asked to help a new family to Canada and our area that was due to have a baby any day. They were in need of baby clothes so I pulled out some yarn here left over from other projects and wiped up a couple hats. Made one in white and was working on the second one in beige as they didn't know if it was a boy or girl when we got word that they had a girl. Since I was having problems  with the second hat and had to pull it out anyway I pulled out some very soft pink/cream yarn and wiped up the second hat.

Spring and birthday cards

DGD and Mother in-law birthdays are near the beginning of April.
Figure I better get them made as Easter isn't far behind their birthdays.
The one on the right is for DMIL. I used a Danice Embossing folder, and
lightly when over the embossed area with pink chalk. The butterfly is just one I had laying around.

For DGD I usedArt-C stamp/die set for the jar. Butterfly punch from the dollarstore
to make the butterflies which were coloured with water colour pencils.

Found both ideas on pinterest.

For the spring is here cards I used Hedgehogs stamp/die set
by Your Next Stamp to stamp the animals, butterflies and flowers.
The spring is here stamp is from a spring/Easter stamp set by Crafts Smart.
Used Archival Brilliance Crimson Copper ink pad for the stamping.
The back ground is embossed using Riskers texture plat in Filigree and
colour with soft tone blending chalks.
The scallop floral paper is from the paper boutique--misty mornings.
The inside paper and saying is from the paper boutique--Dawn Chorus.

DGD dress plus doll dresses

I make my granddaughter dresses every spring-mainly for Easter.
Below is the dress I choose to make her this year using the
McCall's M7111 dress pattern.

She got a water baby for Christmas from Santa so I pulled out
McCall's M6137 and made her this dress with some of the left over fabric.

I also made her this dress for her 18 inch doll.
I used McCall's M6137 as a jumping of point for the dress using the bodice,
and sleeve pattern which I shorted. From the bodice I drew a line out to
bottom of the dress. As with DGD dress I used the yellow to make the neck
facing, lining for the sleeves and the band around the bottom of the dress.
