Gift tags

Decided for the January Rudy day to make my Christmas gift tags.
I used left over card stock for the base of the tags. After going through my supplies etc while straighten up my craft room I found some odd and ends in stickers, along with bits and pieces of cardstock/paper. So by making the tags I have cleared out those little bits and got a Christmas item off my todo list
Below is just a few of them.
Note to myself the tags have been put in the cookie christmas tin in the gift tote.

Split Strips shawl

At the knit fair last September I found this booth  Songbird yarn and fibres that had this shawl hanging on their wall in blue and yellow. However this orange shade at their booth ready popped out to me so that is what I when with.
I used their yarn in  Fire from their solid shades(2 hanks) and Great Blue Heron(1 hank) from their bird yarn. The owner dyes  her yarn in bird colours with a few solids to go with the bird yarn. She also donates a portion of the yarn price to Bird Studies Canada

The shawl pattern is called Split Stripes by Sue Kay Knits and is a free pattern on Revelry

Totes and cards

I decided to make totes as part of my DD's birthdays this year.
The back one is fully open and the front one is closed. The fabric used for the front/back on one is used as the sides for the other.
I found the pattern for them while in the states last summer at Walmart. Have not found it here in Canada yet but if I did most likely would be about $15. here
They do need to have a final touch up with the iron but since they are going into the gift closet till July and December I figured I would wait till ready to give them before doing so.

I made some birthday cards for my DH, FIl and SIL.
The little envelope on the card contains little card fronts that have Happy Birthday emboss on them.
