placemats and a hat

So my youngest DD asked me to make her some placemats to go with some she already had. The first picture is of the original ones she got years ago and below it are the new ones I made to go with them. She asked that I try and use the same colour combo and as close to the original as I could. I used the top one as a guide for colours, size and pattern.

From the left over fabric I made her a table (runner) topper. Using the main fabric    for the mats as the backing.

This hat is a kit from Lionbrand. Pattern is called the horizons beanie. The hat band is double and knitted together before starting the stripesYarn is LB collection chainette yarn . Two balls of the pink and one of the cream. Came with enough yarn for a child and adult hat. I made the adult for me and will make the child one at a later time and donate to the mitten tree.
