A couple more crafts of 2021

For a card exchange I took part of I added a little tuck into the card and below are the different papers I used keeping in mind the type of crafter each person was.  I used the Elizabeth craft planner pocket die to make them. I just used the size of the front as a guide for making the back of the pockets as the die just has the front and the fold over sides/bottom.

A family I did child care for-over 16 years mother/grandmother passed away from cancer. I have kept in touch with the family and her after they no longer needed the care.  I chose to do a simple black and white card.

Here is some of the cards I made for the card exchange I took part in. The houses are like little decorations. Each house is made from cardstock and than both sides are covered with some Christmas scrapbook paper. Back than has a little saying put onto it--There is beauty all around when there is love at home--from a hymn called Love at home. Front is decorated like a front of a house. Cord is attached and than attached to the card by a removable tape over the top and inside of the card. Card is made of different colours of blue card stock and stamped with different snowflake shapes.

Was in need of some new bed socks to keep my feet warm while sleeping.

Pattern is Prince bed socks by Kate Atherley. Yarn used is West Yorkshire Spinners signature. Colours used is Dusty Miller on the right and left is Owl. For the owl colour socks I used the pattern for size/number of stitches etc but instead of the pattern I did a simple rib for the legs and knit stitch for the heel flap as the design wasn't showing up due to the colour of the yarn.
