Summer crafting

My shawl.
It has taken me a while to knit this shawl. It's the Patons Allan Gardens knit brioche shawl pattern.
Knitted in Patons silk bamboo yarn, In colours blush and stone. Nice thing about brioche is that it makes the item reversible.

Christmas cards for family and friends.

Made a couple more quilt tops. One is a top for my middle grandson and the other is just a baby quilt top made from left over fabric from the other quilt along with an additional fabric. Still had enough of a couple of the fabrics to make pillowcases to hold the quilt top and backing. Figure the pillowcases would also make it a good way to store them once completed and for gifting.

Here are the pillowcases.

Close up of the baby quilt. Pattern idea came from accuquilt website. They    gave the measures of the quilt and the die needed to cut the squares. From there I sat down and figured out the length of stripes I would need instead of squares. The pattern on accuquilt is called GO! X marks the spot.

Here is a close up of the quilt top I made for my grandson with a picture of the full quilt below.                      Pattern is called Shallow Stars by Pine tree country quilts.

The quilt you see hanging is called Northern lights and was in a quilt magazine a few years ago. Believe it was McCalls but not 100% sure.
