February crafting 2022

Along with making myself a skirt this month I made this quilt top. I used the Charm plus pattern from Annie’s. In place of a charm pack I used left over fabrics from other sewing projects. It is safely packed away with its backing till I am ready to quilt it.

Cards from an online card class I took. They made us a kit which included the stamps and dies for the flower pots etc you see in the matchbook card/envelope in the first picture. They die cut the card/envelope for the matchbook card. We had/have the option of buying those two dies if we wish. I did not.
From there we made three other cards etc using the same stamps/dies and they supplied the cards/paper.

Get well card for a friend mother that fell down the stairs and broke her leg a couple days after her DH funeral. Thinking of you card for the daughter of a lady from our church who passed away Monday at the age of 103.

March cards for our church ladies. Used echo park spring paper

and the Tim Holtz countryside die

January 2022 crafting

Knitting for January were a couple dishcloths for my oldest DS. They were knitted in Bernat Chocolate ombre. Also knitted were the felted mittens seen below. Pattern is February be MaBe on Raverly. Yarn used is Sandnes Garn fritidsgarn  in Natural and blue.

Sewing for January was pillowcases. The first three are Halloween, Easter and spring. Next two are Christmas and the last four are pillowcases to hold quilts but for now they will hold the finished top and the backing/binding fabric. I do have the names embroider but still need to add them onto the cases. The holiday cases are for a accent pillow I have on my living room couch which is about half the size of a bed pillow.

Cards made in January. The second picture is from a card making class I took through a store called Papercrafter's workshop. It was a kit and than the class was done over zoom. After the class I did a couple extra cards as seen in the first picture. I had this brown embossed type brown paper that a yarn store used to wrap a knitting book I had ordered from them. The paper had four layers to it so I have lots to use. I took a light blue ink pad and brush it lightly over it-just hitting the top of the raised design. Really like the way it turned out so I have put the rest of the paper wrapping in a safe place to use on more cards.

Next three pictures:  Before Christmas the Papercrafters workshop did a little fundraiser for the Make the wish foundation. They brought in from Spellbinders the Dancin'Santa and Friends die cut shapes. The full cost of the shapes when to the foundation. I used odd and ends paper I had for the backing. The feet move.

I needed a couple cards to send to friends who have lost husband/father and I decided to make one extra to have on hand. I really do need to make a few more to have on hand so I am not having to throw a card together. I used a feather die I had along with some paper feathers I purchased in the craft section of my local dollarama.

Some Christmas cards I made to send off to family and friends this Christmas using cookie cutters for the two lager stars and a star punch for the centre and those around them. Christmas song tissue paper for the
background.  Still need to decide on cards for the card swap I take part in but do have the tuck in's taken care of.

Birthday cards I made for two of my grandchildren

Paper is photo play and doodlebug fairy garden paper and stickers

Cards I made to send off to the ladies from my church as their January cards

Birthday cards I made for a couple January birthdays. One of left for Oldest DS and
