Father's day and grad card

While making the Father's day card for my Father in-law I realized I hadn't gotten around to making my second oldest grandson's graduation card. So while I had my dies, papers etc out I got busy and got it made as well.

hanging sloth planter

Oldest DD sent me a picture she found on Facebook of a hanging sloth planter along with the words "Birthday gift idea". Perfect item to add to the bag I made her.

The pattern is from HELLOhappy Crochet and the pattern can be found on Ravelry.
I used Vanna's choice yarn in Linen. Eyes, face and toes were made from scraps of yarn I had. The plant hanger will fit a 2--2 1/2 inch pot.
With the left over yarn I also made her a little basket and the pattern for it can be found on yarninspiration.com Ily Sugar'N crean cricget bestubg baskets.

For the stick I kept a look out on my walks on the path through the wooden area by where I lived. I thought this piece was perfect as it had little worm holes and a kind of vain going through it.
To take the picture I stuck a couple little fake plants in it and will get a real one for it closer to her birthday in July. Less chance of me killing it that way.

summer cards

Made a couple cards to send off in the mail. I used a layer stamp rose/ink set to stamp the roses on.
I stamped them onto white cards and than with art chalk coloured in the background.
I than painted some little pieces of wood cuttings, writing hello summer on the one piece and attached them to the front.  I also added a cute little ladybug onto the card. Stamps, chalk, wooden figures and ladybugs all came from the dollarstore
